Certain Affinity

Austin, TX

This gaming software developer known for Halo and Call of Duty was just beginning their success in the world of computer games when Jennifer met them. This 10,000 SF space features a statue of Master Chief guarding the lobby with built in seating. Lighting helps simulate the world of video games. The transition from public to office to open office where the artistic minds sit is a series of varying asymmetrical arches with shades of LED lighting. Open office lighting flexibility is critical to achieve team preferences, even as teams shift and evolve. A sophisticated lighting control system is used for the evolving change of seating and a variety of concave and convex lights accent the variety of ceiling conditions and workspace pods.  Multiple conference rooms, whiteboard, and pin up areas support brainstorming sessions.  “Easter Egg” is a term the industry uses to notate hidden items that the developers place within games.  Jennifer hid some of her own “Easter Eggs” in the breakroom millwork and other places likely not to be discovered.
